Bolognese – Das ist das Original!

Spaghetti Bolognese is a classic Italian pasta dish that typically consists of spaghetti noodles topped with a meaty tomato-based sauce. Here’s a basic recipe to make Spaghetti Bolognese:

Ingredients:

  • 350g spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 500g lean minced beef
  • 400g canned chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the minced beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes.
  4. Stir in the canned chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, and dried basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  6. Once the sauce is ready, toss the cooked spaghetti with the Bolognese sauce until well coated.
  7. Serve the spaghetti Bolognese hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves if desired.
